“I’d like to buy a can of fresh air please.”That is no joke. The company Vitality Air is one of many which sells fresh compressed air in bottles and cans to an increasing market in Asia, mainly China.
I am asking how far will humans go to not change a thing but instead embrace the inescapable climate change and demand temporary solutions.
Searching for answers is a big field and fortunately there are great people out there, activists and engineers, inventors and even some of the politicians who do not give up, who search and fight.
I came across one of these doers. Dutch artist and founder of Studio Roosegaarde,a social design lab which connects people, technology and space to improve daily life in urban environments. His approach is based on the idea to design a better world
and not waste resources to design superfluous products
which eventually pollute the planet.
Daan Roosegaarde is calling on designers to shift focus away from designing luxury items and instead tackle the problems facing the world… such as pollution.
One of his creations is a smog free tower to provide a local solution
of clean air in public spaces.
